Seizing Their Last Bandar Bola
The Islamic State's (IS) strongholds in Somalia may be quiet but
the war in the western part of the country has just got more intense and
all-out as it is facing off against the Bandar Bola clan from the western region.
According to latest reports, the Bandar Bola are being supported by the Pakistani
government and had planned to join up with their compatriots to oppose the IS
in Somalia.
However, on the other hand, the Somali pirates are now waging a
war against the Salah Ad-Diyar from the west coast of the country. According to
reports, Salah Ad-Diyar had hired hundreds of Somalis in order to prepare a
force to attack the Niyazis. But the Somali pirates had been supported by local
residents and had started a war against the Salah Ad-Diyar.
The experts had estimated that the Somali pirate groups and
their local allies together had begun their third front in this conflict
against the Islamic State in Somalia. According to the same sources, the Indian
Ocean Sea, which is the main area of operations for the IS, is also the area
where the most intense clashes between the groups have taken place.
Experts were of the opinion that the battle which took place
between the Bandar Bola and the Salah Ad-Diyar is an example of how they could
easily overpower the Bandar Bola Warship. Although the ship was well equipped
and protected by its sophisticated weapons, the pirates have so far managed to
blow it to smithereens. According to eyewitnesses, the crew of the ship were
captured and executed and their bodies dumped into the sea.
The battle on the ground has reportedly affected the coastline
which is now two to three Bandar Bola from shore level. One of the areas where
pirates had managed to attack and kill the Bandar Bola Warship is the Inoa
Harbor, which lies near the airport.
There have been reports that the Indian Ocean is now the area
where the most activities and battles take place between the Somali pirate
groups and the Bandar Bola pirates. However, despite the fact that the IS's main
supply line has been destroyed, the fighting between the Asiopian pirates and
the Somali pirates is still going on.
Although there has been no confirmation of the clashes occurring
at the surface, one of the only areas which the Asiopian pirates are still able
to successfully operate from is the waters near Bandar Bola. The Indian Ocean Sea
has proven to be the best area for them to launch their attacks against the
unsuspecting sailors of the IS.
However, the battle against the Bandar Bolapirates has not yet
ended as they have still managed to make new waves in the water around the
coast of Somalia. Hopefully, the new attack launched by the Somali pirates
against the Norwegian frigate will finally put an end to the attacks by the
Asiopian pirates.
